From caring about animals to working for them

We run in-person career events that help skilled, value-aligned people move into impactful work for animals and the protein transition. Our local teams organize each edition, backed by a shared format, funding and support from our international team.

Why

An untapped pool of people who want to help

Many people care about animals. Few dedicate their career to them effectively.

Many care, few have explored itRead more

Many people care deeply about animals but have never seriously considered dedicating their career to them, let alone asked where their work could have the most impact.

Their skills already fitRead more

The movement needs a much wider range of backgrounds than people assume. Roles in policy, research, the food industry and corporates can be as impactful as jobs at animal NGOs, which are scarce.

In person, close to homeRead more

Most career support for animals is online and reaches people already in the movement. A local event can be a low-threshold first touchpoint for everyone else.

How we think about our impact

We aim for career action, not just applause

Our impact lies in what people do after the event: steps towards an effective career for animals that would not have happened without it. We use systematic data collection to track our outcomes and to keep improving our format and approach.

1

What people take home

A sense of direction, a broader view of their options, a personal action plan and new connections.
2

Intermediate success

First steps from their plan: reaching out to people they met, a career coaching call, a course.
3

Career action

Applications, a changed study path, volunteering, effective giving, new projects, or using their current job for animals.
4

Eventual success

More and better-allocated talent working to reduce animal suffering and accelerate the protein transition.

How we are organized

One organization, local teams in a growing number of cities

Each edition is organized by a local team that knows its city: they find the venue and speakers, reach the right audience and run the event in the local language. Behind them stands our international team, with a tested playbook, funding, training and data collection, and a community of organizers across cities who share what works.
